3.4. HOT AIR DUCT CONNECTIONS FOR
PRIMULA/ORCHIDEA MULTIAIR model
Once the stove is in position, you can begin installation of the hot air ducts.
First of all, select the amount of hot air that you want to come out of the
front and the back of the stove.
This simple operation is performed using the mechanical lever located
under the hopper cover (Figure 9). The greater the opening, the more air
will be directed to the front part and less to the back, and vice versa.
For further clarity, Figure 10 shows the distribution of the hot air
between the two outlets (front and rear) at maximum ventilation power
and taking one duct into account.
Do not adjust the air distribution with the lever when
the stove is on or without protection: DANGER OF
BURNS. The metal parts near the lever can reach a
temperature of up to 80°C .
Once you have adjusted the deflector, connect the rear hot air outlet
flange to the ducts and the nozzle. The rear hot air outlet has a diameter
of 80 mm. A pipe which is inserted in the wall must be properly insulated
so that it does not lose heat and so that air outlet is silent.
In the case of a dual duct (two hot air outlet
nozzles), the lengths of the pipes should be similar to
distribute the air uniformly, otherwise the air will
tend to flow more through the shorter or least
twisted duct.
The figures (Figure 11) show a simple example of ducting, seen both
from the rear and from the front of the stove.
